这台题为“小美人鱼”的古典音乐会,邀请中国观众进入丹麦的童话世界,感受北欧的音乐风采。

 

本场音乐会曲目中包括汉斯-埃里克·菲利普(Hans-Erik Philip)创作的声乐套曲,该作品将有关人鱼公主的中文诗篇与安徒生的原作相串联,重新谱曲演绎。音乐会还将呈现作曲家加岱(Gade)浪漫的音乐会歌剧《精灵王之女》(The Elf-King’s Daughter)中几首颇具戏剧氛围的选段,以及来自丹麦、北欧及欧洲其它地区的独唱及合唱作品。音乐会最后将为观众献上四首颇受欢迎的中国歌曲。

 

The classical concert “The Little Mermaid” to invite Chinese audiences into the universe of Danish fairy tales and the world of Nordic sound.

 

The concert features a new song cycle by Hans-Erik Philip, which sets to music a Chinese poem on The Little Mermaid alongside H.C. Andersen’s original text. The evening continues with dramatic and atmospheric excerpts from Gade’s romantic concert opera “The Elf-King’s Daughter” as well as selected Danish, Nordic and European solo and choral repertoire. As a conclusion, the group will present three popular Chinese songs.

哥本哈根之声女声合唱团

 

“人链”音乐协会所属的女声合唱团,目前有十二位歌唱演员,其中不乏哥本哈根优秀的年轻合唱演员。她们均从幼年时即在如丹麦广播电台女童合唱团这样著名的合唱团体中接受音乐基础训练。目前她们中大多数人仍继续着自己的独唱生涯,有的仍在丹麦皇家音乐学院、安·罗欣学院等就学,有的已毕业,有的在自己拜师学艺,均在独唱的同时还在哥本哈根许多知名的教堂合唱团里演唱。

 

合唱指挥/制作人:贝雅特·威尔玛

 

贝雅特曾先后进入丹麦南部音乐戏剧艺术学院及斯图加特国立音乐学院,学习古典合唱指挥,导师分别为格拉努姆(Alice Granum)和库尔兹(Dieter Kurz),并曾参加努朗南(Timo Nourannen)、舒尔茨-延森(Morten Schuldt-Jensen)、皮特•汉克(Peter Hanke)等主持的大师班。另外,她还曾随希拉德室内合奏团(Hilliard Ensemble)学习合唱。贝雅特不仅曾在多个合唱团担任指挥和领唱,而且还曾作为歌唱家与多名指挥家合作,包括博尔纽斯(Frieder Bernius)、皮诺克(Trevor Pinnock)以及伍德(James Wood)等。在与作曲家汉斯•艾瑞克•菲利普长达十年的合作中,贝雅特在丹麦国内外首演过汉斯多部合唱作品,包括2016年汉斯的全新声乐套曲《人链》。这部作品在罗斯基勒大教堂演出,六十余人参演,其中包括独唱尼娜•博世•隆格伦、多尔特•齐尔克以及亨里克•达姆•汤姆森等。贝雅特指挥过的大型合唱作品还包括勃拉姆斯的《德意志安魂曲》(室内乐版本)以及布里顿的《圣诞颂歌礼》。此外,在其亮丽的艺术生涯中,她还曾在剧场版《血婚》中任格莱萨克瑟(Gladsaxe)剧院合唱团总指挥,并带领多个乐团赴朗格莱音乐节、布列塔尼、爱尔兰以及博恩霍尔姆岛等地巡演。

 

贝雅特在伦敦国王学院获历史音乐学博士学位并执教至今。此外,她还担任斯图加特国家歌剧院的编剧以及丹麦皇家歌剧院的制作编剧。

 

女高音:尼娜·博尔·隆格伦

 

尼娜曾在丹麦皇家音乐学院独唱班受训,师从苏珊娜·艾肯(Susanna Eken),并参加过莫滕森(Lars-Ulrik Mortensen)、莫勒(Kirsten Buhl Møller)、斯台尔克(Ulrich Stærk)、尼尔森(Inga Nielsen)、思阔伍斯(Bo Boje Skovhus)、赫穆特(Helmut)、詹森(Rudolf Jansen)、马希斯(Edith Mathis)、维尼奥雷斯(Roger Vignoles)等主持的大师班。她曾与丹麦国家室内乐团、哥本哈根爱乐乐团、奥尔堡、南日德兰以及兰德尔三地的室内乐团、丹麦广播交响乐团团员、丹麦皇家礼拜堂以及瑞典的诺尔兰歌剧院等同台演出。她曾进入伦敦皇家音乐学院举办的莫扎特歌唱大赛决赛并获奖,并曾入围斯图加特国际艺术歌曲大赛的半决赛。她曾获得一系列奖学金资助,并得以在萨尔茨堡跟随女高音歌唱家芭芭拉·邦尼(Barbara Bonney)进修。尼娜在菲岛歌剧院(The Funen Opera)初登歌剧舞台,在多尼采蒂的喜歌剧《唐帕斯夸勒》中饰演诺丽娜。她还曾在奥胡斯(Aarhus)夏季歌剧节新编歌剧《罗萨与永恒》中扮演罗萨、在与弗雷斯卡歌剧院合作中扮演《魔笛》中的公主帕米娜、在哥本哈根歌剧节上扮演尤丽狄茜。她在马尔默(Malmö)歌剧院首次登台扮演《费加罗的婚礼》中的巴巴丽娜,演出座无虚席。尼娜还在丹麦各地演出清唱剧,包括丹麦皇家剧院、丹麦广播音乐厅、霍尔门教堂、弗雷登斯堡城堡教堂、索瑞尔国际音乐节、丹麦国家艺术馆和丹麦皇家图书馆女王大厅(即“钻石厅”)等。2010年,她在海牙与“新荷兰”巴洛克乐团(New Dutch Baroque)合作的一系列音乐会受到高度评价。在2015、2017与2018年,她在奥胡斯交响乐团制作推出的瓦格纳歌剧《尼伯龙根的指环》中饰演水仙子沃克琳德(Woglinde)与林中鸟瓦尔德沃格(Waldvogel)。

 

女高音:托拉·韦斯特高

 

托拉生长于音乐气氛浓郁的法罗群岛,先后在丹麦皇家音乐学院和丹麦南部音乐戏剧艺术学院接受专业训练,并曾在哥本哈根的安妮罗辛学院专攻声乐。作为一位横跨古典音乐与节奏歌曲的表演者,托拉的足迹踏遍斯堪的纳维亚地区。她不仅在法罗群岛音乐颁奖典礼上献唱,与来自法罗群岛的艾沃尔(Eivør)和泰图尔(Teitur)同台,还与Afengin、Valravn等北欧乐队以及Via Artist、FIGURA等古典乐团合作。托拉曾在汉堡的圣迈克尔斯教堂为三千名观众演唱法罗群岛民歌,在丹麦女王访问法罗群岛时为女王陛下献唱,并作为法罗群岛音乐文化的代表在丹麦驻华大使馆表演。除演唱外,托拉在丹麦和法罗群岛还是一位广受欢迎的合唱指挥。她是首位与国立法罗交响乐团合唱团合作的女指挥家,此外还担任哥本哈根的冰岛室内合唱团斯塔卡(Staka)的指挥。该团的女声部将参演本场音乐会。

 

女高音兼制作人:关淑芝

 

关淑芝十六岁时凭借一曲《阳光》开始歌唱生涯,这首歌经由黑龙江广播电台播放,传向全国。由于在音乐上的出色表现,她十七岁时成为著名的沈阳文工团合唱队正式成员,后来进入沈阳最好的一家音乐学院,师从专门研究女高音的教授陈浩。经过多年的表演历练,于1988年获得哈尔滨最佳歌手奖。1994年到丹麦以后,她随即开始在丹麦的音乐事业,并于1996年参加“文化之城”项目(Kulturbys Projekt)的演出,迎来音乐生涯的又一高峰。1998年,与知名歌手玛丽·卡门·科佩尔(Marie Carmen Koppel)合作,参演由汤姆·麦克埃文主持的节目“燃情98”(Brændstof ‘98),表演二重唱。此外,她还经常出现在哥本哈根的春节联欢会上。

 

低男中音:雅各布·布洛赫·杰帕森

 

低男中音雅各布·布洛赫·杰帕森早年在哥本哈根男童合唱团接受音乐启蒙,同时培养了对声乐的兴趣。其后从丹麦皇家音乐学院毕业,继而入丹麦皇家剧院歌剧学院深造,并于2006年在该剧院初登舞台。

 

2013年杰帕森获丹麦“乐评人选择”奖。作为音乐会歌唱家,他在整个欧洲邀约不断,曲目跨越十七到二十一世纪的各个时期。对德国巴洛克时期的音乐他更是情有独钟,尤其是布克斯特胡德、巴赫、亨德尔等作曲家创作的康塔塔及其它大型作品,他多次登台演唱,合作的乐团包括哥本哈根协奏团、劳登古乐团(Lautten Compagney)、挪威“巴洛克独奏家”古乐团(Barokksolistene)、莱比锡室内乐团、“艺术玩家”(Arte Dei Suonator)古乐团、苏格兰室内管弦乐团、乌特勒支新爱乐乐团以及澳大利亚勃兰登堡管弦乐团等。

 

在当代音乐舞台上,杰帕森首演过很多作曲家的作品,包括大卫·朗、佩尔·古德曼森-侯姆格林、西蒙·斯蒂恩·安德森、胡里亚娜·哈金森、弗朗斯瓦·萨兰以及马诺思·仓加利斯等,合作过的著名乐团包括柏林新音乐室内乐团、“声音剧院”合唱团、伦敦小交响乐团、丹麦“形象”演奏团以及“Scenatet”艺术团等。

 

杰帕森曾在很多经典歌剧中担任角色,包括哥本哈根丹麦皇家剧院推出的普契尼《托斯卡》中的安吉罗提、卡尔·尼尔森《假面舞会》中的导师、普赛尔《仙后》中的酒醉诗人、挪威国家剧院制作的莫扎特《唐璜》中的雷波莱罗以及丹麦地方歌剧院制作的罗西尼《塞尔维亚的理发师》中的巴西利欧、威尔第《茶花女》中的奥比尼侯爵、普契尼《艺术家的生涯》中的地主贝诺阿和国务委员阿尔契多罗等角色。此外,他还出演过多部当代歌剧。

 

钢琴:玛丽-露易丝·博登多夫

 

玛丽-露易丝出生于德国的奥格斯堡,五岁起学习钢琴,六岁登台演奏,十岁考入卡尔斯鲁厄音乐学院,师从里辛-莫兰诺娃(Olga Rissin-Morenova)教授,曾同台演奏的乐团包括曼海姆的普法尔茨室内乐团(Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester)、西伐利亚新爱乐乐团、埃森室内乐团、罗马尼亚的巴克乌爱乐乐团以及乌克兰的哈尔科夫爱乐乐团。她曾多次在德国国内外举办独奏会、参加室内乐演奏,并曾为德国电视台录音。

 

成年后的玛丽-露易丝先后师从俄罗斯权威钢琴家弗拉基米尔·克莱涅夫、巴黎音乐学院的法国钢琴家昂热雷(Brigitte Engerer)、奥克登(Christopher Oakden)教授,并在丹麦皇家音乐学院随斯韦罗夫(Niklas Sivelöv)教授攻读并获得独奏文凭,并在蒂沃利音乐厅举办毕业独奏会。在该音乐厅她还曾与丹麦皇家音乐学院管弦乐团合作,演奏拉赫玛尼诺夫的《第三钢琴协奏曲》,展示了非凡的独奏水准。

 

2013年,玛丽-露易丝应邀在卡伊城堡庄园为丹麦皇室演奏,并由此开始与“北欧”弦乐四重奏的合作,其后发展为丹麦家喻户晓的“北欧”钢琴五重奏,并在哥本哈根夏季音乐节、博恩霍尔姆室内乐节以及欧菲莉亚现场(Ofelia Live)等活动中登台演出。

 

2016年9月,她成为丹麦皇家音乐学院的兼职钢琴教师。近期获奖赛事包括:2001年西班牙普伊格塞尔达(Puigcerda)国际钢琴比赛、2001年卡里克基金会(Stiftung Karic)国际钢琴比赛、2002年德特莫尔德GEDOK比赛、2005年塞勒(Seiler)国际钢琴比赛、2006年希腊的罗德岛国际钢琴比赛、2011年“德国音乐大赛”奖学金、2013年凡豪恩(Van Hauen)奖、2015年第十一届意大利“莉亚·托尔托拉”(Lia Tortora)国际钢琴大赛二等奖、2017年意大利“众乐乐”(Musica Insieme)国际大赛一等奖(Assoluto奖)以及意大利里盖蒂(Vittoria Caffa Righetti)国际大赛二等奖。

 

大提琴:托克·默德拉普

 

丹麦大提琴演奏家托克·默德拉普,三十七岁,因其在丹麦音乐界所取得的成就于2014年获女王荣誉奖。在二十年的音乐生涯中,他的足迹遍及欧洲、美国、南美、日本及中东等地,曾登台卡内基音乐厅的威尔独奏厅、伦敦威格摩尔音乐厅、维也纳金色大厅以及柏林音乐厅等。在丹麦音乐舞台上他更是频频登场,常作为独奏家与丹麦国内外的交响乐团同台,合作过的指挥包括阿尔多·切卡托、桑图·罗伐利、水蓝及乔舒亚·维伦斯坦,曾参演的音乐节有卑尔根国际艺术节、林肯国际室内乐节、“蒙特卡洛之春”艺术节、奥伯斯多夫夏季音乐节等。他热忱拓展大提琴曲目,曾首演过许多当代作曲家的作品,其中包括约翰·威廉姆斯的大提琴协奏曲、乔弗里·戈登的大提琴协奏曲以及克里斯蒂安·温瑟·克里斯滕森的大提琴与手风琴协奏曲。2017年,他还录制发行了巴赫的六首大提琴组曲。

 

目前,默德拉普担任哥本哈根爱乐乐团首席大提琴。自2005年起,他在丹麦皇家音乐学院任教。他本人毕业于卡尔斯鲁厄音乐学院,师从奥斯特尔塔格教授。此外他还不断拜师学艺,并参加过沃特·德斯帕利、汉斯·简森、拉尔夫·基尔斯鲍姆及马友友等人的大师班。另外,科隆的“阿尔班•伯格”四重奏也给予了他重要的影响,他曾作为“帕伊佐”四重奏的成员跟随该团进修,并与同伴一起于2003年墨尔本国际室内乐比赛中赢得大奖。默德拉普的演奏用琴系制琴名家大卫·特克勒1697年于罗马所制。该琴由奥古斯蒂努斯基金会赞助。

 

作曲家:汉斯-埃里克·菲利普

Hans-Erik Philip, Composer

 

Member of the Danish Composers’ Association. In Denmark, Philip’s music is best known from the TV-series“The Fishermen” and “The White Viking”. He has written solo concerts, symphonic music, chamber music and choral works. Philip has written music for Michala Petri, Dizzy Gillespie, Palle Mikkelborg, Morten Zeuthen, Dino Saluzzi (Argentinian bandoneon virtuoso), Zealand’s Synphony Orchestra, The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Radio Symphony Orchestra an Choir, amongst many others. He has written music for more than 80 film and TV productions. His stage works include “Truth’s Revenge” (Karen Blixen), “Words and Music” (Samuel Beckett) and “Blood Wedding” (Frederico García Lorca). “Blood Wedding” CD with the German soprano Simone Kermes.

 

In 2014, Hans-Erik Philip received a Gold Remi Award for Original Music for the Canadian film "Once were Enemies" at the Houston International Film Festival. Philip’s dramatic setting of Irish Nobel Prize winner Seamus Heaney’s most famous poem, Requiem for the Croppies, was premiered in 2012 in Ireland with support from the Danish Arts Foundation. In 2016, his song cycle Human Chain on selected poems by Seamus Heaney was premiered in Roskilde Cathedral with over 60 participants and with Nina Bols Lundgren, Dorthe Zielke and Henrik Dam Thomsen as soloists.

 

Nina Bols Lundgren, Soprano

 

Trained at the Royal Danish Music Academy’s soloist class with Susanna Eken, Nina has participated in masterclasses with Lars-Ulrik Mortensen, Kirsten Buhl Møller,Ulrich Stærk, Inga Nielsen, Bo Boje Skovhus, Helmut Deutsch, Rudolf Jansen, Edith athis and Roger Vignoles. Nina has performed with the Danish National Chamber Orchestra, Copenhagen Phil, the Chamber Orchestras of Aalborg, Southern Jutland and Randers, members of the Danish Radio’s Symphony Orchestra and The Royal Danish Chapel as well as Norrland’s Opera, Sweden. She was a finalist and prizewinner in The Mozart Singing Competition at the Royal Academy of Music in London and a semifinalist in Internationaler Wettbewerb für Liedkunst, Stuttgart, and has accepted a long series of grants,amongst others for studies with Barbara Bonney in Salzburg. Nina had her opera debut at The Funen Opera as Norina and sang Rosa in the newly-written opera Rosa and Eternity at Aarhus Sommeropera, Pamina with Opera Fresca and Euridice at Copenhagen Opera Festival. She had her debut at Malmö Opera as Barbarina in front of a sold-out house. As an oratorio singer, Nina has performed extensively all over Denmark, amongst others at The Royal Danish Theatre, in the Danish Radio’s Concert House, Holmen’s Church,Fredensborg Castle’s Church, Sorø International Music Festival, The Danish State Museum for Art and The Queen’s Hall at The Royal Danish Library (“The Diamond”). In 2010, she performed a series of highly-acclaimed concerts with New Dutch Baroque in The Hague. In 2015,17 and 2018 she sang Woglinde and Waldvogel at Århus Symphony Orchestra’s production of Wagner’s The Ring of the Nibelung.

 

Tóra Vestergaard, Soprano

 

Having grown up on the Faroe Islands with their rich musical culture, Tóra received her formal training as a musician at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Southern Denmark. She also trained at the Anne Rosing Institute for vocal arts, Copenhagen.Pursuing a combined career as a classical and rhythmical singer, Tóra has performed all over Scandinavia, at the Faroese Music Awards and together with Faroese Eivør and Teitur, Nordic bands like Afenginn and Valravn as well as the classical ensembles Via Artist Konsort and FIGURA Ensemble. Tóra has performed Faroese repertoire in front of 3000 audience at the Hamburg Sankt Michaelis Church, has sung for H. M. the Danish Queen when she was visiting the Faroer Islands and has performed at The Danish Embassy in Beijing as a representative for Faroese music culture. Alongside her singing career, Tóra is a sought-after choral conductor both in Denmark and on the Faroese Islands, where she was the first female conductor ever to work with the national Føroya Symfoniorkestur Kór. Not least, Tóra is the conductor of the Icelandic chamber choir in Copenhagen, Staka, whose female singers are part of the present concert.

 

Jakob Bloch Jespersen, Bass-baritone

 

Bass-Baritone Jakob Bloch Jespersen acquired his initial musical education and interest in singing as a member of the Copenhagen Boy's Choir. This led to his earning a diploma from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and to further studies at the Opera Academy of the Royal Danish Theatre from where he made his debut in 2006.

 

In 2013 Jakob Bloch Jespersen received the Danish Music Critic’s Choice award. Jakob Bloch Jespersen is in demand as a concert singer throughout Europe, with a repertoire stretching from the 17th until the 21st century. He has a particular affinity for German Baroque music, especially composers such as Buxtehude, Bach, and Händel of who he has performed numerous cantatas and large-scale works with groups such as Concerto Copenhagen, Lautten Compagney, Barokksolistene, Leipziger Kammerorchester, Arte Dei Suonatori, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, The Australian Brandeburg Orchestra. 

 

In the contemporary repertoire, Jakob Bloch Jespersen has premiered works by composers such as David Lang, Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreeen, Simon Steen Andersen, Juliana Hudkinson, François Sarhan and Manos Tsangaris, etc. in collaboration with esteemed ensembles such as Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin, Theatre of Voices, London Sinfonietta, Figura Ensemble, and Scenatet.

 

On the opera stage Jakob Bloch Jespersen has, among others, sung roles of Angelotti in Puccini’s Tosca, The Magister in Carl Nielsen’s Masquerade, and The Drunken Poet in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen at The Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen, Leporello in Mozart’s Don Giovannia at The Norwegian National Opera, as well as appearances with regional Danish opera companies in roles such as Basilio in Rossini’s The Barber in Seville, Marquis d’Orbigny in Verdi's La Traviata, Benoit and Alcindoro in Puccini's La Boheme, and - not least - in numerous contemporary opera productions.

 

Copenhagen Voices- Female Vocal Ensemble

 

Human Chain Music’s Female Vocal Ensemble at currently twelve singers features some of the most accomplished young ensemble singers in Copenhagen. Having received their foundational musical education at renowned choirs such as the Danish Radio’s Girls’ Choir from a very young age, most of them now pursue a solo career studying or having graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, The Anne Rosing Institute as well as privately, all while performing as soloists and in the many notable Church Choirs in Copenhagen.

 

Marie-Luise Bodendorff, piano  

 

Born in Augsburg (Germany), Marie-Luise had her first piano lessons at the age of five, started giving concerts at the age of six and was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe at the age of 10 to become a student of Prof. Olga Rissin-Morenova. She performed with Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester Mannheim, New Philharmonic Westphalia, Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen, The Bacau Philharmonic and The Kharkov Philharmonic. She has played numerous solo and chamber music recitals throughout Germany and abroad, and also made recordings for German TV. 

 

As a young adult, Marie-Luise Bodendorff studied with Russian piano authority Vladimir Krainev, with French pianist Brigitte Engerer at the Paris Conservatoire, with Prof. Christopher Oakden and for her soloist diploma with Prof. Niklas Sivelöv at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, from which she graduated with a recital in Tivoli Concert Hall., where she had also given a virtuoso solo recital with Rachmaninoff´s Third Piano Concerto, with the RDAM Orchestra. 

 

In 2013, Marie-Luise Bodendorff was invited to play for the Danish Royal Family at Chateau de Caix. Here she started a collaboration with the “Nordic String Quartet” that later became known all over Denmark as the “Nordic Piano Quintet”. Concerts at Copenhagen Summer Festival, Bornholm Chamber Music Festival, Ofelia Live and other events followed. 

 

Since September 2016 she has been a part time teacher in piano at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Recent prizes and awards include: Puigcerda Competition, Spain, 2001, International Piano Competition “Stiftung Karic ”, 2001, GEDOK Competition, Detmold, 2002, International Seiler Competition, 2005, International Piano Competiton, Rhodos, Greece 2006, Scholarship from the “Deutscher Musikwettbewerb”, 2011, The Van Hauen Prize, 2013, Second Prize at the XI Concorso Pianistico Internazionale “Lia Tortora”, Italy 2015, First Prize “Assoluto” at the Concorso Internationale “Musica Insieme”, Italy 2017, Second Prize at the Concorso Internationale “Premio Vittoria Caffa Righetti”, Italy 2017.

 

Toke Møldrup, Cello

 

The Danish cellist Toke Møldrup, 37, received Queen Ingrid’s Honorary Award for his achievements on the Danish music scene in 2014. In the 20 years of his career so far, he has performed both across Europe and in the United States, South America, Japan and the Middle East atvenues such as the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Wigmore Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein and the Berlin Konzerthaus. A frequent guest at Danish music societies, Toke Møldrup has performed as a soloist with Danish and international symphony orchestras under conductors such as Aldo Ceccato, Sanntu Rouvali, Lan Shui and Joshua Weilerstein, and at festivals such as Bergen International Festival, Lincoln International Chamber Music Festival, Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival and Oberstdorf Music Summer. With a keen interest in developing the repertoire of the cello, he has premiered many works by contemporary composers, among them the European premiere of John Williams' cello concerto, Geoffrey Gordon's cello concerto and Christian Winther Christensen's concerto for cello and accordion. In 2017, he released the 6 suites for cello by Johann Sebastian Bach.

 

Toke Møldrup is principal cellist of the Copenhagen Philharmonic and since 2005 a teacher at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. A graduate of the Hochschule für Musik, Karlsruhe, with professor Martin Ostertag, he has studied privately and at master classes with capacities such as Valter Despálj, Hans Jensen, Ralph Kirschbaum and Yo-Yo Ma. Another important influence on his musical development is The Alban Berg Quartet with whom he learned from as a part of the Paizo Quartet, winner of the Grand Prize at The Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in 2003.
